First Town Downtown has something for everyone this summer! Explore our weekly Farmers' Market on Thursdays from 3:30 to 6:30 pm. Relax and enjoy the Summer Concert Series on the Green which finishes the season on Thursday, August 23 at 6:30 pm. We are located at 261 Broad Street, second floor in the Chamber of Commerce Building.

Taste of Summer
First Town Downtown hosted its Taste of Summer fundraiser on Tuesday, August 7. Despite the postponement and a downpour, the event was well attended. Thank you to Union Street Tavern, Barts’ Drive-In, Jim’s Pizza, Buffalo Wild Wings, Menchies, One Song Biscotti, Get Baked and Siam Corner Thai Kitchen for providing delicious fare for everyone’s tastes!

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who worked hard to make this event a success!

During the Taste of Summer, attendees enjoyed the Motown sounds of Personal Touch as they performed for the Summer Concert Series on the Green. The concert was sponsored by Berkshire Hathaway and Bart’s Drive-In.
Proceeds from this event benefited First Town Downtown, Windsor’s Main Street program that works to promote and enhance Windsor Center. First Town Downtown is Windsor’s chapter of the Connecticut Main Street Center, which advocates for the development and promotion of downtown areas in communities across the state.

Additional First Town Downtown programs include the Farmers’ Market, Summer Concert Series, Nightmare on Broad Street, and the Carol Sing.

What's Cropping Up At The Farmers' Market this week?

We have a great group of hard working vendors who are proud of the quality product that they bring to the Farmers' Market. They work well together and help each other. We have a great variety of items of produce, personal care products, handbags, honey, soaps, flowers, etc. Chances are that you will run into your fellow Windsor friends. It's a great social event!

The First Town Downtown Farmers’ Market is in full swing with yet another nice day predicted for Thursday!

Our participants this week include Beldotti Bakery, Blessed Creek, Fanciful Flowers, Farms of Southern New England, Gragnolati’s Garlic Farm, One Song Biscotti, Quite’s Body Bar, Rooster Rise, Stefanfarms, Sweet Harmony Café and Bakery, Tomaca Designs, Sweet Pea Cheese and Barbecho’s Harvest.

This well-attended local marketplace takes place on Thursdays in Windsor Center at 240 Broad Street, from 3:30 to 6:30 through October 18. Look for Kathy Kopacz to get your e-passport stamped.
