Farmers' Market Opens for its Tenth Year!
The First Town Downtown Farmers’ Market began its 10th year Thursday, solidifying its place as a Windsor tradition! With forecasts of thunderstorms, The Farmers’ Market was able to escape the expected lightning and heavy rain. A number of vendors reported having better first day sales than in the past, even with storm threats.

The Farmers’ Market provided a variety of local farm fresh produce, baked goods, homemade herbal soaps, seasonal produce, honey products and ladies’ accessories. Thursday's vendors included Beldotti Bakery, Blessed Creek, Farms of Southern New England, Forgotten Acres Farm, Rooster Rise Farm, OneSong Biscotti, Qutie’s Body Bar, Sweet Harmony Café & Bakery, Sweet Pea Cheese and Tomaca Designs. Additional vendors will be participating during the summer including Amazing Ackee, who will bring Jamaican Ackee patties and cakes, Fanciful Flowers, Gragnolati’s Garlic Farm, and Stefanfarms. There will also be musical entertainment during the summer.

This well-attended local marketplace takes place on Thursdays in Windsor Center at 240 Broad Street. From 3:30 to 6:30 through October 18. First Town Downtown, an organization dedicated to promoting Windsor Center as a premier New England town center well positioned for recreational, economic and cultural activities, is once again the proud sponsor of the Market.
