2023 Concert Schedule: July 6: Gene Donaldson & The Stingrays sponsored by Complete Care at Kimberly Hall and Edward Jones/Martin McMahon Gene has been playing guitar for the last 35 years. In the 80's he was in a very popular band called "Smokestack Lightning". From there he joined a North east institution..."Motown Review" and played up and down the East coast. In 1992 Gene left the "Motown Review" in order to start his own group, "Gene Donaldson and the StingRays". With this band he has shared the stage with some of the Blues most respected artists. During this time Gene also toured with a number of blues artists as a sideman including Lee "Shot" Williams, Phil Guy, Eddie Kirkland, and Mary Taylor. He has also appeared on stage with blues artists such as Johnny Rawls, and Lucky Petterson. Currently Gene released a CD in the Spring of ’09' July 13: Farmington Valley Big Band sponsored by Carmon Funeral Homes The Farmington Valley Band performs a wide variety of challenging and outstanding concert music, favorites and marches. Although the marching tunes of K.L. King, Sousa, R.B. Hall and old time American band leaders abound, you are also likely to hear a few jazz compositions in the "Big Band" tradition of the Dorseys or Woody Herman. July 20: Skyway sponsored by the First Town Downtown Board of Directors and Al & Debbie Loomer Skyway's outstanding musicians and premier vocalists perform a broad spectrum of dance music from 70's R&B to current hits. Skyway's uptempo sets keep the dance floor full with hits from great artists such as Earth Wind and Fire, Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, Chic, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars. sponsored by Windsor Federal Savings A rockin' nine piece band paying tribute to the great 60's - 70's and 80's Horn Bands. A powerhouse rhythm and horn section delivering a variety of Classic Rock, R & B, Blues, Soul and Funk, with a touch of Country thrown in - to keep you moving on the dance floor. August 3: Sazzy Brass sponsored by Geissler's Supermarkets, Dr. Steven Farley DDS and Johnson, Dowe, Brown & Barbarotta Sazzy Brass led by Rosemarie Roy (trombone) & Dawn Zukowski (trumpet) are Windsor High band alumni. This female led group puts a creative spin on some of your favorite jazz standards/Rhythm and Blues and features Hartford area jazz guests, Linda Ransom vocals, Alvin Carter Jr, Kris Jensen, Mary DiPaola, Matt Dwonzyk, Tony Davis.
