Acceptance through the Ages
The Windsor Art Center is pleased to announce its upcoming exhibition entitled Acceptance through the Ages which will run from May 7 through June 25, 2022.

Opening Weekend: Saturday, May 7 / Sunday May 8

Gallery hours: Thursday 6 pm-8pm / Saturday 10am-4pm / Sunday 11am-4pm

About the exhibit: Artists in the LGBTQIA+ community are using their artwork to address coming out, acceptance by friends and family and, most importantly, acceptance of self and how that has changed over the last 50 years. An open call for LGBTQIA+ artists will run until April 25th. Visit www.windsorartcenter.org and Windsor Art Center on Instagram and Facebook accounts for details.

The Art Center will host a series of discussions by the LGBTQ community throughout May and June.

May 22 from 2 to 4 – four panelists will share their experiences from the 80’s through current day.

June 4 from 12 to 2 – Nance Lomax, the youngest surviving member of the Stonewall riots will speak to her experience. Nance travels from Philadelphia to be here for us and we are honored.

June 11 from 12 to 2 – Nichole Mayweather-Banks, LCSW, will discuss the problems of aging out of foster care for the trans community, and will explain concepts of gender, sex, sexuality, and barriers faced by this segment of the population.
