Considering Light: Photography & Poetry inspired by the cosmic quality of Light
Nov 11, 2023 5:00PM—Dec 23, 2023 4:00PM

The Windsor Art Center presents Considering Light: Photography & Poetry inspired by the cosmic quality of Light, from November 11 through December 23, 2023. This exhibition features work by Laurel Pepin, a lifelong resident of Windsor and graduate from UCONN in fine art photography. In recent explorations drawing from her artistic roots, Laurel has been designing liturgical art installations for her worship community, and, in every spare moment, writing about and photographing creation.

Laurel states: “My work is to be amazed by the cosmic quality of light. Among the photons received in my camera, I perceive star constellations in lichen and quantum entanglement in ocean waves. Sitting under a dark sky, considering a nebula I can’t see, only poetry can express my gratitude for the birthplace of stars. Through my combined work in photography and poetry, I invite you to share in my amazement.”

Windsor Art Center invites the public to a free Opening Reception on Saturday, November 11, from 5-7pm to meet the artist and enjoy light hors d’oeuvres.
