Our mission is to grow, revitalize and strengthen Windsor center. We bring volunteers and experts together to strengthen our center of town through a "community-based approach" by creating a high quality of life for businesses, residents and visitors alike focusing on economic development, design, promotion and organization.
2025-2026 AWARD RECIPIENTS Community Impact Award This honor goes to an individual or organization that has made a meaningful and positive impact in downtown and beyond. This year, we recognize two honorees: • Windsor Food & Fuel Bank, for providing essential services and resources to those in need throughout our community. • And Sharon Dillon Rispoli, a tireless community cheerleader whose energy and generosity bring joy wherever she goes. ________________________________________ Cultural & Artistic Contribution Award Arts and culture play a vital role in shaping Windsor’s identity and economy. The Cultural & Artistic Contribution Award goes to: • Windsor Art Center, for its rich calendar of exhibits, talks, and classes, and for hosting two incredible new events this year—The River & Roots Festival and Make Music Day. ________________________________________ Main Street Visionary Award This award recognizes bold vision and investment in reimagining downtown Windsor. Our first honoree is Greg Vaca, founder of GRAVA Properties and developer of Founders Square—a transformative project that brings housing, business activity, and vibrancy to Windsor Center. ________________________________________ Historic Preservation Revitalization Award One of the core tenets of the Main Street movement is historic preservation with purpose. This year’s award goes to Loomis Chaffee School for its thoughtful renovation of the historic James Loomis House into the Win-some Find Thrift Shop—preserving a piece of history while giving it new life. ________________________________________ Eagle Award The Eagle Award honors a business making an extraordinary difference in our community. That honor goes to Carmon Funeral Homes—a compassionate, family-owned business that has stood by Windsor families during their most difficult times, while giving back to the community in countless ways. ________________________________________ Outgoing President Recognition While he’s already been on stage tonight, we now recognize Scott Hoffman for his outstanding leadership as FTDT President. Scott, thank you for your dedication, your calm and steady leadership, and your continued support as you stay involved with the organization. ________________________________________ Spirit of Main Street Award And finally, the Spirit of Main Street Award. This is our highest honor—recognizing legacy service to the First Town Downtown organization. This year’s recipient: Sharran Selig-Bennett.
