Color Theory (March Session)
Instructor: Michelle Hawran
6 week workshop, starting March 18th
Wednesdays from 5-7pm

Dive into the fascinating world of color with local artist Michelle Hawran! Students will study the color wheel and use acrylic paint to better understand color mixing, how colors communicate with each other, and how colors can be used within a painting. Topics include local vs optic color, complimentary colors, value, and temperature. Very basic acrylic painting skills recommended.

Michelle Hawran is an artist born and raised in Windsor, CT. Since graduating with a BFA from the University of Connecticut in 2016, Michelle splits her time between creating colorful paintings of her own family’s past, crafting meaningful commissions for her clients of their own memories, and teaching all mediums of art at the Windsor Art Center and serving as their Programs & Marketing Coordinator.
