Main Street Matters August 30, 2018
Our ever popular Farmers' Market continues on Thursday from 3:30 to 6:30 on Thursdays. We are offering Heritage bricks for the Wednesday, October 3 installation ceremony. LAST DAY TO ORDER IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 31! See details below!

Order Your Heritage Bricks!
First Town Downtown offers engraved bricks as a unique way to memorialize loved ones, commemorate special events, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, births, and recognize civic groups, youth athletic teams, businesses, and volunteers. Visit the heritage bricks already in place and you will be sure to recognize Windsor people and organizations!

The engraved bricks are installed in the brick patio on the Town Green across from Central Street every June and October. When purchasing a brick, you can add up to 3 lines of 20 characters each for your special message. Select symbols can also be added. The cost of a heritage brick is $50. THE LAST DAY TO ORDER A BRICK FOR THE OCTOBER INSTALLATION IS THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 31!

Proceeds from the heritage bricks benefit First Town Downtown, whose mission is to position and promote Windsor Center as a premier New England town center that protects and utilizes its proud heritage as the basis for developing vibrant recreational, economic and cultural activity. Some First Town Downtown programs include the ever popular Farmers Market, co-sponsoring the Concerts on the Green with the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Matters Morning Meetings and Nightmare on Broad Street.

What's Cropping Up At The Farmers' Market this week?

We have a great group of hard working vendors who are proud of the quality product that they bring to the Farmers' Market. They work well together and help each other. We have a great variety of items including produce, personal care products, handbags, honey, soaps, flowers, etc. Chances are that you will run into your fellow Windsor friends. It's a great social event!

The First Town Downtown Farmers’ Market is in full swing. We are keeping an eye to the skies for Thursday's Farmers' Market. There is a slight chance of a scattered shower or thunderstorm. The Market is held rain or shine. However, if there is lightening, we would need to shelter until it has been at least 20 minutes without lightning.

Our participants this week include Beldotti Bakery, Fanciful Flowers, Farms of Southern New England, Gragnolati’s Garlic Farm, One Song Biscotti, Qutie’s Body Bar, Rooster Rise, Stefanfarms, Sweet Harmony Café and Bakery, Tomaca Designs, Sweet Pea Cheese and Barbecho’s Harvest.

This well-attended local marketplace takes place on Thursdays in Windsor Center at 240 Broad Street, from 3:30 to 6:30 through October 18. Look for Kathy Kopacz to get your e-passport stamped.
