Heritage Bricks Installation Ceremony

First Town Downtown held their Spring Heritage Brick Installation Ceremony on Wednesday. First Town Downtown offers engraved bricks as a unique way to memorialize loved ones, commemorate special events, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, births, and recognize civic groups, youth athletic teams, businesses, and volunteers.

The attendees had purchased bricks to memorialize family members and to celebrate their families and businesses. People came from as far away as Boston for the ceremony. The guests chose where to install their bricks and spent time reading the other bricks while enjoying refreshments and the beautiful Spring day. Twenty-four bricks were installed.

First Town Downtown offers engraved bricks that are installed in the brick patio on the town green across from Central Street every June & October. When purchasing a brick, you can add up to 3 lines of 20 characters each to have a special message included. Select symbols are also available to be added. The cost of a heritage brick is $50.

Once your brick is purchased, you and the brick honoree will be invited to join us for an installation ceremony to give you the opportunity to present your brick and select its spot on the patio. Refreshments will also be provided.

Proceeds from the Heritage Bricks benefit First Town Downtown, whose mission is to position and promote Windsor Center as a premier New England town center that protects and utilizes its proud heritage as the basis for developing vibrant recreational, economic and cultural activity.
