The latest group of First Town Downtown Heritage Bricks were installed this week into the Brick Patio on the green across from Central Street in Windsor. All bricks purchased or gifted over the last few months, including FTDT and WCC annual award winners, Windsor Police Cadets, Dennis Guay, Kevin Searles and Kristen Barbarotta were brought together and placed into the brick patio for future generations to enjoy. Newly installed bricks include commemorations of wedding anniversaries, birthdays, special achievements, memorials and more. One mom installed a brick for in honor of the day care provider for her two children who are headed to kindergarten. Take a walk down the road and view the brick patio. You'll be sure to find someone you know! The first First Town Downtown Heritage brick installation was in May of 1996.
Inscriptions include names, anniversaries, birth dates, memorials and more. Heritage bricks are available for purchase from the First Town Downtown website www.FirstTownDowntown.org for $50 and includes three lines of text, up to 20 characters per line. Become a part of Windsor's present and future with a heritage brick. Space is limited. Please call 860-688-5175 for more information. Proceeds support the vitality and value our downtown.
