Taste of Windsor 2014
If you love food and drink, join other foodies at the fourth annual First Town Downtown (FTDT) Taste of Windsor on Saturday, March 8th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Loomis Chaffee's Dining Hall. The evening will be filled with a wide variety of appetizers and main dish samplings donated by Windsor's own unique restaurants, which include Dom’s Broad Street Eatery, Get Baked, RC Grille at the Hartford/Windsor Marriott, Nat Hayden’s Real Pit BBQ, Bart’s Beanery, Bears Smokehouse BBQ, Izote Southwest Grill, Moneta Moments, Union Street Tavern, Windsor 75 and more.

You'll also enjoy a wine tasting by Bert's Spirit Shoppe of Windsor Locks, beer tastings by Back East Brewing of Bloomfield and Broad Brook Brewery of East Windsor AND a moonshine tasting by Onyx Moonshine of East Hartford. There will also be silent and tea cup auctions throughout the night so you can browse the donated items and get a great deal on some highly sought after gift certificates and other prizes. Enjoy live music provided by Fence Incident!

There will be a chance to win a diamond pendant donated by Bill Selig Jewelers. To qualify, just buy one of 100 FTDT glasses filled with wine and you'll get the wine, an engraved FTDT wine glass, a cubic zirconia gem as well as a chance to win the real diamond, all for $25.

Tickets are $35. Tickets must be bought in advance. The event sold out last year.

Proceeds benefit First Town Downtown programs and events, including Windsor center development, center beautification, business support, and events like the Farmers' Market, Nightmare on Broad Street, the Carol Sing and Torchlight Parade. If you would like to donate an item for the auction please contact Ashley at (860) 688-5715 or email ashley@firsttowndowntown.org
