July 31st - Orange Crush
Sponsored by Windsor Federal Savings

For 18 Years Orange Crush has been winning over the hearts of hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the country. Recently inducted into the Grand Band Slam Hall Of Fame for Best Cover Band (as voted perennially by the readers of the Valley Advocate) "O.C." performs at clubs, on campuses and for public & private events throughout the year.

Guitarist Jeremy Simonich easily glides from one style to the next, while Bassist Rich Yirga keeps the bottom end locked down. Drummer Tom Kielbania JR supplies energy and non-stop flow, and Lead Vocalist Scott Lawson is the heart and soul of the group with his strong stage presence.

Formed in Chicopee, Massachusetts in 1996, Orange Crush initially started performing as an REM tribute band (taking that bands song "Orange Crush" as their identifying moniker). With the arrival of a new Millennium, the band had started reshaping it's set list to focus on dance-heavy smash hits from various '80s recording artists.

Playing shows at local clubs had resulted in a strong following, and as the band won their first (of what would later be many) Best Cover Band awards, they often found themselves taking to the road to tour colleges. The band has toured the majority of the Central and Southern United States, has opened for such acts as Reel Big Fish, Guster, Young Love, KRS1, OK Go! and continues to add to it's ever-growing fan base.
