Artist Luciana Heineman
Luciana Heinaman has over 25 years of teaching experience in oil and watercolor and has been very active in teaching classes in various towns in Connecticut. She has also given numerous demonstrations and workshops for a number of different art clubs and civic organizations throughout the area. Luciana is a very popular artist who is often selected to judge regional art exhibits and scholastic art contests in many Connecticut schools.

Luciana studied in Italy, University of Hartford Art School, Weslyan University and Central Connecticut State University and has received an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from the Greater Hartford Community College. Over teh years she has perfected her skills by studying with Paul Zimmerman, James McManus, Estell Coniff, Alice Bronson, and many well known national artists. Her works of art are in numerous permanent collections: Aetna Life Insurance, Springfield Hospital, Town of East Hartford, Town of Windsor, United Bank, Society for Savings, and Western New England College. Luciana was commissioned to paint a painting for the late Governor Grasso and also painted a large mural for the YMCA in Hartford Connecticut. Her works have fond intrernational appeal from chapels in Italy (murals) to private collections in France, Italy, Germany & Canada.

Luciana has participated in group exhibits, invitational art shows in some of the most prestigious museums: Wadsworth Atheneum; New Britain Museum of American Art; Norwich Museum, in Connecticut and Springfield Museum and Pitsfield Museum n Mass. Luciana has had several one person shows in New England and in Italy.

Luciana has received over 80 awards. She belongs to National Pen Women of america, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, Connecticut Watercolor Society, Connecticut Women Artists, New Haven Paint and Clay, Springfield Art League, Academic Artists Association, West Hartford Art League and others.
