Photographer Len Hellerman

Having been fascinated with the photographic process from a very early age, I have always used photography as my means of artistic expression. The natural world has been my main focus; however, all subjects that allow for an interesting composition and that elicit a "wow" have interested me.

In Connecticut, where I reside, I recently was a principal contributor to a coffee-table book picturing the greater Hartford area, which was published by the Hartford Business Journal. The name of the book is "Hartford, New England's Rising Star."

For the past seven years I have spent January, February, and March in Florida where I have been an assistant at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre. I have associated with America's most highly recognized photographic artists from whom I have gleaned much inspiration.

Through the years I have had much recognition for my photography, having won many awards and contests. I am a member of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, and I have had seven consecutive years of acceptance in its annual exhibition. The town of Windsor and the Environmental Protection Agency of the state of Connecticut have both made extensive use of my imagery.
