Visit Consumer Advocate & Author Cynthia Bercowetz

Visit Consumer Advocate & Author Cynthia Bercowetz outside the Chamber office where you can purchase her new book "Unforgettable Recipes and Savvy Consumer Tips".

The author says that it is the right formula to avoid consumer problems and learn the secrets from the kitchen of some of Cynthia's cooking friends. Many local chefs you will recognize have tantalizing recipes. The consumer tips are based on the author's vast experience in helping people learn about consumer issues. Her first book, "Don't Get Ripped Off! Get Help! Tell It to George" has helped hundreds of consumers to learn about the issues. Special attention is placed on identity theft, the number one consumer complaint.

She started her column at the Hartford Times and continued it for 22 years at the Journal Inquirer in Manchester. She is a volunteer advocate for the Connecticut Attorney General's office.

She is married to Herman Bercowetz, former owner with his family of COPACO in Bloomfield. Her third book, she reports, will be a children's book on the petting zoo that formerly was on COPACO grounds.
