Welcome Upcycled Planter Designers to the 2023 Upcycled Planter Challenge! We so appreciate your participation and sharing your creative gifts with the public.

1. Drop off for your planter is Saturday July 1st 10am-2pm. If you have a time conflict please contact us at wmp@ftdt.org

2. An online Map with designated assigned spaces will be up soon for the public.

3. Attached below are the assigned spaces for each Planter Designer. Your name will be attached to a stake at your location. Volunteers will stake in your creation. Signage to follow once installed. PLEASE do not move your planter to a different location, we’ve worked with the town and property owners for permission to secure assigned spaces, this is to avoid damaging a sprinkler system or hitting underground electricity and following sponsor’s wishes.

4. All planters will be up for Auction July 8 - July 15. Each sign will have a QR code directing visitors to the auction page. All planters will be up at once. The bidding starts at $50.

5. Bidders without computers may drop off a bid at the FTDT/Windsor Monarch Project booth at The Windsor Monarch Fest July 8th on town green. OR call in a bid FTDT office, leave your name, ph# Bid amount AND if desired-amount you’re willing to bid up to: 860-247-8982

6. Bidding ends July 15 @ 5pm.

7. If a planter doesn’t sell at auction, it remains in the ownership of the Planter designer and will need to be picked up no later than the week of July 16.

8. Please share the flyer below with your friends and family and on your social media pages to encourage them to visit the planters, vote for their favorite planter either at the FTDT/Windsor Monarch Project booth on July 8th on the green or online. There is a prize for People’s Choice Planter for the Designer and Sponsor.

Mae Maloney and Suzanne Urban will be on the Green with stakes in place for you to deliver ‘chair’ planters, and stakes will be in place for ‘unique’ planters in front of businesses around Broad Street.

We’d love to see you at the Windsor Monarch Fest too!

If you have any questions, please email wmp@ftdt.org and we'll answer as soon as possible.

Thank you!
