19th Annual CRIS Radio Golf Classic
CRIS Radio will hold its 19th Annual CRIS Radio Golf Classic on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the Tunxis Club in Farmington, Conn. Title sponsor is New Country Motor Cars, Hartford. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 11 a.m., with lunch on the golf course, followed by a banquet dinner featuring two carving stations of steam ship round of beef and roasted turkey.

Scot Haney, WFSB meteorologist and co-host of Better Connecticut, will emcee the banquet and live auction.

Player fee is $160, which includes 18 holes of golf, player cart, lunch and dinner, and complimentary wine and beer.
CRIS (Connecticut Radio Information System), a 37-year-old nonprofit headquartered in Windsor, provides audio versions of news, information and educational materials featured in newspapers, magazines and classroom texts for children and adults who are blind or print-challenged due to a visual, learning, physical, emotional, or intellectually disabilities. Thanks to nearly 300 volunteers, all CRIS recordings feature human narration.
