Date:May 21st, 2017.
The public is invited to the Oliver Ellsworth Homestead at 778 Palisado Avenue in Windsor on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at 1 p.m., to celebrate the restoration of American elm trees on this historic property. The Abigail Wolcott Ellsworth Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution joins with the Ellsworth Memorial Association, the Nature Conservancy, and the U.S. Forest Service to plant new disease resistant elm trees and contribute to the ongoing elm tree restoration of river floodplain areas throughout the Northeast. Tours of the Ellsworth Homestead will be offered at no charge. Light refreshments will be served. Information: jebvl@yahoo.com
