For a full day of fun, family activities, good food and entertainment, come to Windsor's Northwest Park on Saturday Sept. 17 for the 34th Annual Country Fair at the Park on Lang Road in Windsor, CT. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Rain date: Sunday, Sept. 18 from 12 noon to 4 p.m.)

Participate in the Cake Walk or Egg Drop Contest; Carve a pumpkin, Build a scarecrow; or just sit back and enjoy music by several entertainers including Ol’ Possum and the 94th U.S. Army Rock Band. There will be robotics and gymnastics demonstrations, crafters eager to share their abilities and handiwork as well as a Civil War Encampment and Artillery exhibit.

Win a Blue Ribbon in the Kitchen and Garden Contests by entering your best baked goods, fruit preserves or other kitchen creations, backyard garden produce and/or flower arrangements.

Local Eagle Scouts will be on hand to proudly share their individual projects: The flag burning pit; wildflower & butterfly garden; and dog park pergolas with benches. Check the 2016 fair booklet online at the website below for specific times.
New this year will be a Silent Auction. Bid on a variety of items and gift baskets. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will be dedicated to the upgrading of the Maple Sugar Shack.

NEW: Silent Auction

Our newest event is a Silent Auction which will be held in the Warming Shed from 10-2:30. We are raising money for much needed renovations and an addition to the Maple Sugar House. All of the proceeds from the auction will go towards this project.

We are hoping that you will consider donating an item or a service to this worthy cause. You will be provided with a 501-C3 form for your records. There will be a list of all donations and contributors at the park and on our website. (This will be posted a couple of weeks before the fair in September.) For further information regarding the silent auction, please contact Debby Reimer at 860-977-0247 or Roger Nolte at rfnolte@comcast.net. Thank you for your support!

The entire day promises to be a fun time for the whole family. Admission is only $3 for children, $4 per adult or $12 maximum per family and free for children under 3. Parking is FREE. More specific information about the fair is available at www.northwestpark.org “Friend’s Events”. See you at the Fair!
