Building your Bridge: Genealogy Lecture
Join Dr. Lucie Lewis on a presentation on the fundamentals of genealogical research. This in-person discussion begins with a review of the “traditional” tools to walk backwards through your ancestors while gathering important documentation to support your findings. The next step is a review on how to use DNA research to supercharge your efforts to connect to your ancestral past. Researching since the mid-90s, Dr. Lewis uses both to unlock the profile of her ancestral profile.

Dr. Lewis is a writer and genealogist. She has presented for the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society and participated in exhibits highlighting the intersection of gender and race including the 2022 Voices of Resilience exhibit at the Springfield Museums.
