Welcome, Ken Fredette!
Ken joins First Town Downtown from the corporate world where he gained extensive experience in data management, team development, and financial forecasting. Ken also brings significant event management experience through his affiliation with several local non-profit organizations. He enjoys coordinating and volunteering for large events, including the Windsor Lions Craft Fair, the Windsor Jaycee's Chili Challenge, and Windsor Art Center exhibitions. A Windsor resident for almost fifteen years Ken moved to town specifically because he loves the town center. Ken noted that he is, "Very passionate about the economic success of local businesses and the walkability of Broad Street, as well as opportunities to get involved." The Board of Directors is excited to have Ken on board to help fulfill its mission and help Windsor Center continue to thrive. With a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut, Ken has deep knowledge in business development, marketing, financial planning and consumer behavior; all tools that can be used to further the goals of First Town Downtown. He brings a unique set of skills to in handling data, people and projects that will make him fit right in with First Town Downtown. His proven experience and energy will bring additional value to First Town's goals and programs." In his spare time, Ken enjoys spending time with his family, playing and listening to music, cartooning, and cycling. |
