Arrive early for READ ON THE GREEN presented by the Early Childhood Council. This event will feature a story time for families with young children prior to the weekly Thursday evening summer concerts at 6:15 pm on the Town Green. After the story time children will receive a free book. Competiello, M.D. (Dr. Diamond) and Neil Diamond parallel each other. Both men were born in Brooklyn, New York and later lived on Long Island. Dr. Competiello loved music from an early age but went on to pursue a career in medicine. Neil Diamond wanted to be a physician but his love of music lead him to become one of the greatest music legends of all time. Dr. Competiello speaks Italian, Spanish, French, and Polish, which he uses in treating many of his patients.
