July 7 - First Company Governor's Foot Guard Band Sponsored by Kimberly Hall The First Company Governor's Foot Guard of Hartford CT is the oldest military organization in continuous service in the United States. July Sponsored by Windsor Independent Living Association The All-Star Dyn-O-Myte Disco Review is the East Coast's hottest and most authentic "Flashback to the '70's band. The six-piece group combines great dance music from the disco/funk era with a fun, interactive stage show that appeals to people of all ages. July 21 - Nekita Waller Band Sponsored by WCC & FTDT Board of Directors Nekita's live music repertoire includes, pop, Motown, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Tower to Power, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, Classic Rock, R&B, Pop, Gospel, Country, and originals. Those who support and enjoy her music are as diverse as the music Nekita performs. From young to old, of all backgrounds, Nekita moves, entertains, and connects with all who listen. July 28 - “Still Kickin” with the Big City Horns Sponsored by Windsor Federal Savings Still Kickin' & The Big City horns is a 9 piece band, locally bred musicians, who play classic rock, R&B and blues. Exceptional great sounding rock and horn band for hire for all occasions. Will customize music set lists to the customers needs. Looking forward to performing at your next event. August 4 - Farmington Valley Band Sponsored by Carmon Community Funeral Homes & The Carmon Family The Farmington Valley Band performs a wide variety of challenging and outstanding concert music, favorites and marches. Although the marching tunes of K.L. King, Sousa, R.B. Hall and old time American band leaders abound, you are also likely to hear a few jazz compositions in the "Big Band" tradition of the Dorseys or Woody Herman. August 11 - Gene Donaldson and the Stingrays Sponsored by Town of Windsor Recreation and Leisure Services Gene has been playing guitar for the last 35 years. In the 80's in was in a very popular band called "Smokestack Lightning". From there he joined a North east institution..."Motown Review" and played up and down the East coast. In 1992 Gene left the "Motown Review" in order to start his own group, "Gene Donaldson and the StingRays". With this band he has shared the stage with some of the Blues most respected arists. During this time Gene also toured with a number of blues artists as a sideman including Lee "Shot" Williams, Phil Guy, Eddie Kirkland,and Mary Taylor. He has also appeared on stage with blues artists such as Johnny Rawls, and Lucky Petterson. Curently Gene released a CD in the Spring of ’09' August 18 - Skyway Sponsored by Day Hill Dental & Grimshaw Tree Service Skyway performs R&B Dance music from the 70's - the 90's. The vocals of Nancy Sousa & Jimmy Monroe allow them to cover a broad spectrum of music from Chaka Khan to Teddy Pendergrass.
